Starting and stopping the HCL OneTest Server services

After the server is installed, you can manually start and stop HCL OneTest™ Server services by using scripts.

Before you begin

You must have completed the following tasks:

  • Installed Git Bash on Windows.
  • Saved user data before you shutdown HCL OneTest Server.
  • Communicated to the users about the unavailability of the system until the process is completed.
  • Been granted proper permissions that are required for installing and uninstalling the software.

Procedure

  1. Open a new terminal.
    Note: On Windows, you must use Git Bash to run the scripts.
  2. Change the directory path by entering the following command:
    cd <installation directory path>\OneTest
  3. Start or stop the services based on the requirement:
    • To start the HCL OneTest Server services, enter the following command:
      ./startup.sh
    • To stop the HCL OneTest Server services, enter the following command:
      ./shutdown.sh
